Tesco PLC, the UKs largest supermarket chain, has chosen The Vehicle Group (TVG) to install Vehicle CCTV Technology to all of its distribution tractor fleet in the U.K.
Tesco is the third largest retailer in the world and is the grocery market leader in the UK. Its distribution fleet covers the length and breadth of Britain, delivering to over 3,500 stores.
TVG have undertaken the supply & installation of a DVR system with a forward facing camera and an Nearside Camera integrated into the indicator and a 7” monitor for as a driver aid to reduce the risk of an incident with Vulnerable road users. The cameras will give the Tesco drivers far better visibility, with their in-cab monitor assisting them when they are manoeuvring at low speeds and spotting potential hazards around the nearside of the vehicle. In addition the DVRs provide a robust recording system with a 500GB data storage capacity, meaning that Tesco will have the footage they need, when they need it most.
