Job Title: Fleet Support Engineer

About: Due to continued growth TVG are currently seeking a number of exceptional Auto Electrical Technicians to fill full-time positions with immediate start. Duties include:

  • Installation and servicing of all TVG products in line with company installation practices and procedures.
  • Accurate reporting on work scope and work completed, through the applicable reporting structure, including any company issued electronic devices.
  • Ensure all kit utilised is documented as logged against relevant jobs and/or returned via the company returns procedure.
  • Work allocated by region where possible however must be flexible to travel UK wide including overnight stays, possible early/late working patterns to meet the customer/project needs.
  • Extensive liaison with TVG Service Desk Manager/Coordinators and Line Manager.
  • Customer facing role and therefore excellent communication skills are key.

Skills & Experience

The successful applicants will have a proven track record on 12v & 24v vehicles and at least two years’ experience within the vehicle installation industry. Must have good communication skills & be computer literate.

This is an exciting role within a busy and dynamic Research & Development Department, which will be both challenging and rewarding. The candidate will have the ability to shape a wide range of current and future products and play an integral role in the enhancement of vehicle safety, security and efficiency throughout the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design the layout and function of electronic circuits, incorporating various technologies in the automotive sector, such as sensors, cameras and logging devices.
  • Provide detailed analogue/digital electronic circuit specifications and designs including component selection and circuit simulation.
  • Definition of circuit board requirements including materials and layer stack-up.
  • Generation of PCB schematics – including preparation and implementation of best practice design procedures, library management and BoM generation.
  • Production and verification of design documentation, such as design logbooks and data packs in preparation for design release and production.
  • Communicate and negotiate design specs and changes with PCB vendors and CEM subcontractors.
  • Initiate and participate in design reviews to identify, manage and mitigate risk where appropriate.
  • Handle component obsolescence issues and propose suitable alternatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide detailed and accurate failure diagnosis both in person and wirelessly, to support current and emerging systems.
  • Provide detailed analogue/digital electronic circuit specifications, schematics and designs.
  • Work towards agreed customer requirements in order to accurately define system requirements.
  • Generation of system schematics – including preparation, implementation and physical first fitments.
  • Communicate and negotiate design specs and work with suppliers to develop innovative solutions.
  • Initiate and participate in design reviews to identify, manage and mitigate risk where appropriate.
  • Handle obsolescence issues and propose suitable alternatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients.

  • Play a part in helping to identify new business opportunities and drive revenue growth within existing accounts.

Experience

  • Proven experience as an Account Manager, preferably in the automotive or technology sector but this is not essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and handling correspondence.
